Coach commitment

A Coach using Tactenza must place participant safety and wellbeing ahead of competition, reputation, convenience, or payment. Coaches and organisations remain responsible for the laws, screening, policies, supervision, facilities, and professional standards that apply where they work.

Screening, qualifications, and insurance

  • Hold and maintain every Working With Children Check or equivalent required in the relevant state or territory and role.
  • Maintain sport qualifications, first-aid capability, insurance, permits, and organisation approvals represented to Players or required by law.
  • Provide accurate evidence when a verification process requests it and notify Tactenza of expiry, suspension, cancellation, or a material restriction.
  • Never describe a self-declared document as verified by Tactenza.

Professional boundaries

  • Keep instruction, communication, physical contact, media, transport, gifts, and relationships within the legitimate coaching role.
  • For guardian-managed Players, keep relevant communication guardian-visible and use approved class-linked channels.
  • Do not groom, sexualise, exploit, isolate, humiliate, threaten, favour inappropriately, request secrecy from, or build an unrelated private relationship with a child.
  • Avoid one-to-one situations that breach applicable safeguarding requirements; use observable and interruptible settings where required.
  • Do not enter changing areas, provide personal care, transport a child, arrange overnight activity, or capture/share media except under applicable policy, consent, supervision, and emergency rules.

Safe and inclusive coaching

  • Plan age-, skill-, ability-, health-, weather-, equipment-, venue-, and ratio-appropriate activity.
  • Use respectful, development-focused feedback and make reasonable adjustments for disability, culture, language, gender, and individual needs.
  • Do not use corporal punishment, degrading drills, hazing, coercion, unsafe pain or fatigue expectations, or instruction outside your competence.
  • Respond appropriately when a Player expresses discomfort, injury, fear, confusion, or a safety concern.

Incidents, disclosures, and mandatory reporting

Take immediate reasonable steps to protect a child or participant from danger. Preserve relevant information, avoid investigating beyond your role, and follow applicable mandatory-reporting, organisation, emergency, police, and child-protection requirements.

A Tactenza report does not replace a legally required report to an authority. Do not promise confidentiality that the law or safety obligations prevent you from keeping, and do not retaliate against a person who raises a concern.

Platform consequences

Tactenza may request information, hide a listing, restrict new service activity, or suspend access while a credible safeguarding concern is reviewed. Serious or substantiated breaches may result in permanent removal and referral or cooperation with appropriate authorities where required or permitted by law.
